Who we are

CTRLALTFUN (whatsloading.xyz) is a personal portfolio run by whatsloading.xyz (“we”, “us”). We show the apps we make and keep a waitlist of people who want to hear about new ones. We decide why and how your email address is used. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • the email address you type into the form;
  • the date and time you signed up;
  • a record that you agreed to join.

That is all. There are no accounts, no payments, no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

How we use it

We use your email address to send you occasional emails about new apps and updates from CTRLALTFUN. Your consent is our reason for doing so, and you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell your email address. We do not rent it. We do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Who handles your data

Two service providers process data for us. They act on our instructions and do not use your email address for their own marketing.

  • A cloud database provider stores the waitlist.
  • Our website hosting provider runs the site. It processes standard request data, such as your IP address and browser type, in server logs. This helps keep the site secure and running.

Our fonts are served from our own website, so loading a page doesn’t send your data to a font provider.

We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies.

It uses one item of your browser’s local storage, which remembers your cookie-consent choice so we do not ask you again on every visit. It holds only that choice. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings, and the consent popup will then appear again.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We then delete it within 30 days. Backups may hold a copy for up to a further 30 days before they are overwritten.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong;
  • delete your data;
  • stop using your data, and withdraw your consent.

To unsubscribe, use the link at the bottom of any email we send. To use any other right, contact us using the details below. We will answer within a reasonable time.

If you think we have mishandled your data, please contact us first. People in Singapore can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). People elsewhere can contact their local data protection authority.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. The site sends data over HTTPS, and we limit access to the email list to the people who need it. No method of storing or sending data is 100% secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside Singapore. When they do, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data gets protection comparable to what Singapore’s PDPA requires.

Children

This site is not for children under 13, or under the minimum age in your country if that is higher. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has joined the waitlist, contact us and we will delete the entry.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
